AcceleRace MotorSports was born out of passion for openwheel racing. We are the new breed. We work smarter, we work harder, we never stop. Our team members know how to win. Most important, however, is our drive to do things they way we have always wanted to do them, 110%, no compromises, no holding back.

AcceleRace has been named the Official USF2000 team for the The Brazilian TV Series "Juntos na estrada da INDY" and plans to run 4 or 5 cars for 2013. Our team is loaded with the experience that gives our drivers the ability to compete at the highest level possible.

Larry Nash  Engineer and Team Strategist

Larry Nash - Engineer, Team Strategist

In 1983, with a desire to go racing at the highest levels, Larry moved to Indianapolis and got his start in IndyCar working with Gary Bettenhausen. Within a very short time, he becamethe Bettenhausen Chief Mechanic and established a reputation for uncompromising attention to detail. Larry's passion for pristine equipment soon brought opportunity with other teams and drivers, including working with March race cars in England and developing prototype INDY cars.

After 18 seasons with multiple car race teams in IndyCar, Larry finds supporting junior racing equally challenging and in many ways more rewarding as it gies him the opportunity to devlop and shape raw talent. Larry's unwavering attention to detail and ar preparation, his driver coaching abilities, as well as his penchant for making horsepower and getting it to the ground have resulted in his drivers setting new lap records, earning pole positions and most importantly, winning races and championships in numerous series including: Indy Racing League, Formula Atlantics, Shelby Can-Am, Motorola Cup, Star Mazda Championships, Formula 2000, USF2000, Formula Ford, Pro Sports 2000, SCCA Sports Renault, and Firehawk Endurance

Nash has been proud to work with numerous drivers including but not limited to: Gary Bettenhausen, Robbie Buhl, Steve Chassey, Jim Crawford, Emerson Fittapaldi, Davey Hamilton, Scott Harrington, Richie Hearn, Jorge Goncalvez and Anders Krohn.

Glen Philips Glenn Philips - Chief Engineer

With over 45 years pf racing experience, including over 25 yrs experience F2000 cars has netted multiple championships as crew chief in Star Mazda, FF/FC, F2000 pro, SCCA and IMSA series. Starting back in the 1980's drivers that have benefitted from Glen's wisdom include Matt McDonough (2006 F2000 Championship), Robbie Pecararri (Star Mazda Championship), Roberto Guerrero (Kenny Bernstein - INDYCAR), Phil Lombardi and Tom Fatur (both F2000 Championship Series Winners 2010 and 2009 respectively) Brad Yeager, and scores of young up and comng drivers. Glen was also Chief Engineer for the winning Camel Lights car at the 24 Hours of Daytona. His extensive engineering expertise in the F2000 class has led him to develop and manufacture an extensive list of performance upgrades and modifications that are the gold standard in F2000 racing.

Ben Siegel Ben Siegel - Assistant Engineer

Ben's interest in racing began on the front stretch at the Indianapolis Motorspeedway at the age of 4 and he was quickly infatuated with racing of all flavors. College began his true motorsports career as a member of the University of Louisville Motorsports Formula SAE team. He became the lead suspension and chassis engineer for the LM-10 chassis and then developed LM-11 as Chief Engineer and Team Principle. Ben graduated from the University of Louisville with a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering and has been working with Accelerace Motorsports as an Assistant Race Engineer.

John Munoz John Munoz - Chief Mechanic

John hails from northern Spain and has built his championship winning experience in Europe for the last 11 years in the highly competitive EuroCup FormulaRenault F2.0, FormulaRenault 3.5 World Series, and FormulaRenault Italia 2.0 Series. He has worked with many successful drivers as they have progressed from Junior Formula racing into the bigger Series like: Robert Kubica (2005 Series Champion), Albert Costa, Jamie Alguersuari, Stefano Coletti, Mika Maki, Brendon Hartely, Bertrand Baguette and Jake Rosenzweig. We are very excited about John, and he will certainly add to the Championship winning program AcceleRace offers to young drivers in 2012.

Victor Carbone Victor Carbone - Driver Coach

Victor has an impressive history for a young driver that includes: Current Indy Lites Driver and Pole + race Winner in 2011 with Sam Schmidt, 2010 F2000 Championship Series Overall Winner with 6 wins and 6 Poles and 8 podiums, and is a well known Brazillian Karting Champion. His ability to "connect" with young Drivers and explain techniques as their peer adds to our strong program which speeds Driver Development.

Bryan Sellers - Driver Coach

An exacting and talented instructor with an impressive resume including :

  • Current fulltime ALMS driver (GT2)
  • F2000 Series Champion (7 wins/8 poles /10 podiums) and coach for recent F2000 Champions.
  • Team USA Finalist, Formula Atlantic, Pro Mazda, WKA National Champion, Skip Barber Champion, and others.
  • International experience including Lemans and Daytona 24 hour races, RedBull F1 Finalist, UK/British FF, New Zealand FF,and more.

Peter is a knowledgeable, award-winning professional high performance driving instructor. For over two decades, Krause has been the "unfair advantage" for many, many drivers. A National SCCA winner for over 20 years, and is the most detailed coaching expert we have encountered. No one knows every inch of America's finest road courses better than Peter!

Highly sought-after Racing Coach EPaul brings over 40 years of proven methods to our Pro Coaching Staff. His success stories span the entire range of motorsports, and he has the amazing ability to become the "perfect Instructor Method" to suit each Driver's personality. EPaul is exacting when it comes to "correcting bad habits" so that our Driver's can break free of the nuances that are holding them back.

As creative director, he leads design efforts for all integrated communication methods and strategic brand positioning for AcceleRace's corporate clients. Lee is an innovative problem solver who delivers world-class brand identity and communication solutions. As creative director, he is highly effective at combining his strong technical knowledge and graphic expertise with his forward-thinking design perspective to align business and organizational needs. Lee's background includes five years as the Global Design Communication Manager with YUM! Brands where he was involved in the design, direction and management of brand solutions for corporate clients Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC), Taco Bell and Pizza Hut. Additionally, Lee has developed communications tools along with strategy and design vernacular for Hilton Hotels, HCA Hospitals, Skidmore Owings & Merrill, National Broadcasting Corporation (NBC).

Creative Director and Marketing exec for 20 years ML is the promotional arm of our Team and gives us the ability to exceed the expectations of any client. A long time racing enthusiast, ML actually holds an open wheel race license and is openly addicted to Ducati Superbikes.

 

Equipment

As the USF2000 Championship has not yet released specs for 2013 Regulations Championship Class/National Class cars but we will prepare our spec sheet as soon as that Data becomes available. Check back often.
